About My C.L.E

WHAT IS THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE ?

The My C.L.E. beauty device is an electronic device that features two different technologies—electric micro-currents and light therapy. This cosmetic device is designed by Carita for use on the face, neck, and neckline.

 

WILL I NEED TO CHANGE MY SKINCARE REGIMEN ?

No, My C.L.E. is not another step in your skincare regimen. My C.L.E. is designed to simply be used in conjunction with your Carita serum at the time of the day that you usually apply it.

 

IS IT PAINTFUL ?

No, the treatment is not painful. You may feel a tingling sensation when using micro-currents. If the sensation bothers you, you may reduce the energy intensity level (five levels of intensity available).

 

HOW SOON WILL MY SKIN START SHOWING RESULTS ?

Results may vary according to the type of skin and the issue to be treated. Most users immediately feel the benefits of the treatment and notice a visible improvement of the skin over the long term.

 

DOES THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE WORK ABROAD ?

The My C.L.E. device can be used abroad thanks to its USB charging cable. The set comes with a travel pouch so you can easily take your device anywhere.

 

Using My C.L.E.

HOW DO I USE THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE FOR THE FIRST TIME ?

Your beauty device should be charged using the USB cable included in the set. Attach the cable to an external power adaptor (not included), then plug it into a power outlet. Charge your device for three hours before using it for the first time. The power level is displayed on the LCD screen of your device. The fully charged device may be used for four hours of continuous use.

Before your first use, test the beauty device on a small area of your skin (e.g. your forearm) to make sure that you are not sensitive to it and that your skin will tolerate the device. If you react to the device, consult a physician.

 

HOW DO I AJUST THE SETTINGS ON MY C.L.E. ?

Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on the device. Press it again to turn it off. After it has been on for ten minutes, the device will turn off automatically. The “MODE” energy selection button lets you choose from three different modes. Press the button once to select the kind of LED light energy you would like to use. Press the button a second time to select the kind of electric micro-current energy you would like to use. Press the button a third time to select the duration of the treatment. The “SELECT” settings button lets you adjust the device’s settings. To select the colour of LED light, press once for red LED light, twice for blue LED light, three times for green LED light, and four times for white LED light. To set the intensity of the micro-currents, choose from five intensity levels. To set the time, use the SELECT button to set the desired duration.

 

HOW DO I USE MY C.L.E. ?

Remove all make-up from your eyes and face using your normal make-up removal routine.

Adjust the settings on your beauty device (see “How do I adjust the settings on My C.L.E. ,?). Use the My C.L.E. device first on the left side of your face, neck, and neckline followed by the right side.

Start by applying two pumps of the serum to the left side of your neck and neckline, then follow the application technique recommended by your beauty programme. Continue by applying two pumps to the left side of your face, then follow your application technique. Repeat the same steps on the right side of your face, neck, and neckline.

Finish your beauty routine by massaging in the excess serum with light tapping motions. Finally, clean your device after each use with water or alcohol, then dry it with a cotton cloth. Do not use abrasive or chemical products to clean any component of the device. Never submerge the product in water.

 

SHOULD I APPLY THE CARITA SERUM TO MY FACE OR THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE ?

The serum should be applied directly to your face and not the device.

 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE MY C.L.E. ?

The My C.L.E. beauty device can be used daily, but must not be used more than once per day.

WHAT ARE THE MICRO-CURRENTS EMITTED BY THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE ?

Micro-currents, or low-intensity electrostimulation currents, are one of the most frequently used technologies in the cosmetic and professional skincare markets. Micro-currents are known for their numerous anti-ageing properties such as their ability to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin firmness and tone.

 

WHAT LED LIGHT IS EMITTED BY THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE ?

LEDs (light-emitting diodes) produce light of different wavelengths and emit little heat. Depending on the wavelength and subsequent colour of the light, LEDs can target the skin at varying depths and deliver a range of benefits.

Maintaining My C.LE.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE ?

 

To ensure your device functions properly, follow the care instructions listed below:

 

Do not use abrasive or chemical products to clean any component of the device.

Never submerge the product in water.

After each use, clean the product with water or alcohol (75%), then dry with a cotton cloth.

Do not dismantle or open up the device for any reason.

Charging My C.LE.

HOW DO I RECHARGE THE MY C.LE. DEVICE ?

Only use the USB cable included in the set to recharge your My C.L.E. device.

The USB wall adapter, which is not included, must be compliant with UL 60950-1 and/or CEI 60950-1 and have Class 2 output or meet limited power source (LPS) requirements.

The device’s lithium battery will naturally lose charge.

If you do not use it very often, we recommend fully charging your device at least once every three months to maintain battery capacity.

 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECHARGE THE MY C.LE. DEVICE ?

How often you recharge your device depends on how much you use it. You can monitor your device’s battery level on its LCD screen.

 

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO FULLY RECHARGE THE MY C.LE. ?

A full charge takes around three hours.

 

HOW CAN I CHECK THAT MY C.L.E DEVICE IS CHARGING ?

When you connect the included USB cable to your My C.L.E. device, the screen will turn on, allowing you to see that it is charging. If the screen does not turn on when you plug in the USB cable, please contact customer service.

Precautions for use

CAN YOU USE THE MY C.L.E. DEVICE IN THE BATHTUB OR SHOWER ?

No. The My C.L.E. device may not be used underwater and is not splash-resistant. The My C.L.E. device is not waterproof and must be kept away from water.

 

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR WARNINGS FOR THIS DEVICE ?

 

If you are receiving medical treatment for a skin issue or if you think you might have a skin issue, please contact your doctor before using the device.

 

Do not use the beauty device if you are pregnant or nursing.

 

Do not use the beauty device if your skin is sensitive to light with a tendency toward allergic reactions.

 

Do not use the beauty device if you have recently undergone a cosmetic procedure or Botox injections. We recommend that you wait at least six months after such a procedure to use the device.

 

Do not use the beauty device if you use a pacemaker, neuro-cardio-stimulator or electrocardiograph monitor.

 

Do not use the beauty device if you have an active case of cancer, skin lesions (e.g. skin infection, eczema lesions, etc.) or if you have damaged skin, an open wound, or a recent scar.

 

Do not use the beauty device if you suffer from epilepsy or convulsions.

 

Do not use the beauty device on newborn babies or children under the age of 18, and keep the device out of their reach.

 

This device is recommended for use only with a CARITA serum on the face, neck, and neckline. Reapply the serum as often as necessary during the treatment to avoid using the device on bare skin. Do not use it directly on your eyes or other sensitive areas.

 

If you suspect that you have had a negative reaction to the use of the beauty device, consult a physician immediately.

 

The micro-current technology may cause a slight tingling sensation. You may reduce or eliminate this sensation by lowering the energy intensity (there are five intensity levels).

 

If you have persistent headaches or other painful sensations during treatment with the device, stop using the device and consult a physician.

 

Do not use on skin that has been implanted with silicone, metal, or other foreign substances.

 

Do not leave the beauty device in direct sunlight, on a hot surface, or in water. Any use or maintenance or transport method that does not comply with the recommendations specified in the manual will void the warranty.

 

We recommend you do not share the device with another person.

GUARANTEE

The My C.L.E. commercial guarantee lasts for two years starting from the date of purchase by the final user as shown on the invoice, or, if there is no invoice, starting on the date of the purchase order or receipt, which the user must keep and present in the case of any claim. Terms and conditions vary depending on where the product was purchased (certified distributor(s) or on the http://www.carita.fr/ website).

 

For the entire duration of the My C.L.E. Guarantee, CARITA warrants the product against faulty materials and malfunctioning arising from normal use of the product. “Normal” use is defined as ordinary use of the product by the final user under the normal conditions set out in the instruction manual provided with the product. This does not include using the product with a voltage converter or with products other than those recommended by CARITA for the My C.L.E. device, nor does it include falls or water exposure. Any attempt to open up or dismantle the product to try to repair it is strictly prohibited.

 

CARITA is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damage resulting from the use of the product with the exception of the cases expressly provided for by law.

 

Under the My C.L.E. Guarantee, in order to be replaced the product must be returned to CARITA in the following manner:

 

Contact the Customer Service Department at +33 (0)9 69 39 55 61 (call not subject to an additional charge; local call rate from a landline). After discussing the exact nature of the problem and possible causes for the malfunction, the Customer Service Department will approve the replacement of your My C.L.E. product;

 

After your discussion with the Customer Service Department, it shall be determined if your My C.L.E. should be sent back, in which case a prepaid shipping label will be sent, allowing the final user to send back the entire product, i.e. the My C.L.E. device, its charger, and proof of purchase as defined above, free of charge to the following address: Service Consommateur CARITA – My CLE, 30 rue d’Alsace 92300 Levallois-Perret, FRANCE;

 

The Customer Service Department will examine the returned My C.L.E. device. Based on its findings, the department can send a new My C.L.E. device to the final user within seven weeks following reception of the device from the customer.
